Minutes before The Mavericks were set to take the stage at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester England, the venue informed them that their show would have to be cancelled and the 1,700 people there to see the concert would have to vacate the building immediately due to a water main issue. Apparently no water was coming to the performance hall which was health code issue.
No one was more disappointed than The Mavericks when they were told that they could not perform. The band had only one day off on this UK run of dates and immediately asked if the Manchester date could be rescheduled for that day. Though some fans may not be able to attend this Monday night (March 2, 2015), The Mavericks are in hopes that most of their fans will be able to come back and finally get to see the show. Please understand that this was beyond their control.
After the news of the cancellation, The Mavericks proceeded out front to apologize to their fans, followed by an impromptu performance that spontaneously occurred due to the gorgeous grand piano in the lobby.
