Hey everyone, I hope you’re having as nice a weekend as one could possibly have right now. Hard to believe that Easter is upon us. I’m sure that if someone were to look through our past family photos, they’d find that we all more than likely celebrate this weekend in similar ways. And I’m pretty sure there are some years that if it weren’t for photographic evidence, we’d hardly remember that we did anything out of the ordinary at all. I seriously doubt that will happen this year. We will remember this one. Those that have lost loved ones to this virus most certainly will.
We must never forget what it’s like to not be able to attend services with family and friends. Or let the kids sit on grandma’s lap, shake hands with a neighbor, kiss a stranger, or even hug that aunt and uncle you see once a year. All that will have to wait. Social distancing is one of the few things that is working. Find out from your local place of worship how they are going to stream their services this weekend. We are alive and healthy. It’s imperative that we stay home so we can stay that way.
Speaking of staying home...at 7:00 PM every night, we (in my house) will go outside to the backyard or front, and make some noise for our frontliners. This started in New York City as the local residents wanted to express their gratitude to those fighting this virus on the frontlines. As the disease spreads to other cities and towns, residents elsewhere at 7:00 pm have started honoring their local heroes in this beautiful and touching way. Anyways, I hope you can join us for some “noise” every night at 7:00.
Oh yeah...and here’s a little “Moonglow” for your weekend. Happy Easter everybody! Take care of yourselves...RM ????
